Summertime is for Perennials

Though you can plant perennials as soon as the ground thaws – summertime is the right time to add new life to your landscape. When planning a perennial garden, there are a few key factors to take into consideration. One is to pick an early, mid, and late season bloomer. This way there will be color from early spring to frost. Height, texture and foliage color are also factors in how your garden will look. These add interest and depth to your landscape bed. Remember, it typically takes about 3 years to get the look you envisioned. Patience is the key with perennials!
